March 21, (THEWILL) – The FA Cup semi-final draw has taken place, and Manchester City has been drawn against the winner of Sunday’s late FA Cup quarter-final between City’s English Premier League rivals Liverpool and Championship side Nottingham Forest in the final Quarter-final game of the round.

The draw balls were taken from the bag ahead of that quarter-final tie at Anfield while Chelsea were drawn to face Crystal Palace in the second semi-final.
The Blues became the first team to qualify for the last four when they comfortably defeated second-tier Middlesbrough on Saturday, as THEWILL reported. On their part, the Eagles beat Everton 4-0 in the second quarter-final, before Man City defeated Southampton at St Mary’s thanks to a late flurry of goals.
The draw concluded thus:
Semifinal 1: Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest or Liverpool
Semifinal 2: Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
For the remaining fixtures of the FA Cup this season, all matches will be played at Wembley Stadium. The first semi-final will take place on Saturday, April 16, while the second will follow the next day. The final will be played on Saturday, May 14.
