May 12, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo, has reportedly passed away at the age of 40.

Following the news, several colleagues shared emotional messages on social media.
Actress Funke Akindele wrote on her Instagram story:
“Hmmmmmm. Rest in peace, Alex. I tried to reach out to see you one more time but guess you knew best. May your kind soul rest in peace, Alex. ‘Ore mi’ like you fondly called me, I will always remember and cherish the good times we shared together. Rest in Peace, Alex.”
Actor Bolanle Ninalowo also shared a message of condolence, writing:
“Rest on, Alex. May God heal your family and us all.”
Some reports suggest Ekubo had been dealing with health issues recently, though this has not been confirmed
