Ousmane Dembele

December 16, (THEWILL) — Ousmane Dembele has been crowned Men’s Player of the Year at The 2025 FIFA Best Awards. The Paris Saint-Germain forward, who also claimed the 2025 Ballon d’Or, played a central role in the French side’s UEFA Champions League campaign last season.

The winger contributed significantly to PSG’s run to the Club World Cup final, where they were defeated by Chelsea. From the beginning of 2025, Dembele has been involved in 42 goals across all competitions, netting 30 and creating 12 for teammates.

Just four players from Europe’s top five leagues have registered more goal contributions during this calendar year.

Aitana Bonmati claimed the women’s player of the year award for the second consecutive major ceremony, having previously won at the Ballon d’Or.

The Barcelona and Spain midfielder helped her club side reach the UCL final and finished as a runner-up with her national team at Euro 2025.

PSG manager Luis Enrique received The Best FIFA Men’s Coach award, whilst England boss Sarina Wiegman was honoured with The Best FIFA Women’s Coach prize.

Wiegman has now guided England to three consecutive European Championship victories following their Euro 2025 triumph.

Luis Enrique joined Pep Guardiola in an exclusive group, becoming only the second manager to secure a treble with two different clubs.
