June 02, (THEWILL) – Queen Anu, one of the estranged wife of late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has gifted herself a car on the occasion of her birthday.
The one time king’s favorite, took to her Instagram page to announce the good news weeks after the demise of the traditional ruler.
She shared a short video of the car and wrote, “Another key added, thank you Abbah Father for bringing me this far. It can only be you lord. I usher myself to the best year yet.”
Anu confirmed in 2020 that she walked out of her marriage to the late monarch in order to be “free” from “bondage.”
She revealed that the Alaafin threatened and constantly harassed her for walking out of the marriage.
She had warned that if anything should happen to her and her children, the general public should hold the monarch responsible.
