Alessio Fortino

October 01, (THEWILL) – Alessio Fortino, the social media executive for SSC Napoli, is leaving the Italian top club after two and a half years.

Fortino’s resignation dates back a few weeks ago – despite being present at the Diego Maradona Stadium for Napoli’s last league match against Udinese – and, contrary to a report by some media outlets, it is not related to the Osimhen affair, as his area of expertise is far removed from editorial activities on their social media accounts.

Fortino announced his departure on his social media profiles, posting: “Today, after 805 days, my professional adventure with SSC Napoli comes to an end. For many, this job would be comparable to a dream, for me, it was simply a daily reality: a reality built on commitment and fuelled by the continuous desire to learn and challenge myself.

“I cannot fail to express my deep gratitude to all the colleagues, partners and fans I met during this long journey for making this experience so special. I leave the company with a wealth of extraordinary memories and enthusiasm for the new adventures that await me. Thanks again for everything and see you soon!”

Fortino was tasked with coordinating and overseeing SSC Napoli’s social media efforts rather than being in charge of editorial duties at Tiktok, where the Osimhen video was posted. His social media responsibilities were, therefore, unrelated to any editorial activities at the club’s social media handles.

After over 800 days of coordinating Napoli’s social media presence, Fortino departed to pursue new professional opportunities. The club thanked him for his efforts in engaging with fans and growing their online following.
