Sandra Onyenucheya has made fresh allegations against her estranged husband, Frank Edoho

May 21, (THEWILL) — Veteran broadcaster, Frank Edoho, has denied allegations of domestic violence, infidelity, and financial misconduct levelled against him by his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya.

The controversy began earlier in May after Edoho confirmed a two-year separation from Sandra. Tensions escalated following a leaked phone conversation and online rumours linking Sandra to singer Chike, which came before her social media posts making claims of abuse and misconduct.

Sandra shared photos of alleged injuries, private chat logs, and payment receipts, describing what she said was a toxic marriage. Among her claims, she alleged that Edoho once threatened her with a dumbbell, forcing her to leave their home.

In response, Edoho posted a statement on Instagram late Wednesday, calling the allegations “false” and misleading. He said he would not engage in a public debate, choosing instead to address the matter through legal channels.

“Let me state, clearly and unequivocally, that the allegations made against me are false. At moments such as this, experience teaches that not every accusation merits a public contest, nor does every provocation require an answer in the court of public opinion. There are times when restraint is not weakness but wisdom, and this is one of them. I have chosen to address these issues through the appropriate legal channels, where facts, not noise, will prevail”, he said.

He apologised to brand partners, sponsors, collaborators, and others affected by the publicity, expressing regret that innocent individuals were dragged into the controversy.

Edoho confirmed that legal investigations and court processes are underway and said it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.

He made a special appeal regarding his children, urging the public to respect their privacy:

“This is an especially difficult period, most of all for my children, who neither chose this moment nor deserve to bear the weight of public intrusion arising from it. Above all, I am a father, deeply committed to the welfare, dignity, and protection of my children.”

He concluded by reaffirming his confidence in the truth and his commitment to handling the matter responsibly, respectfully, and with dignity.
