June 03, (THEWILL) – Novak Djokovic advanced to a record-breaking 19th Roland Garros quarter-final on Monday, defeating Britain’s Cameron Norrie 6-2 6-3 6-2 in a dominant straight-sets performance on Court Philippe Chatrier.
The 38-year-old Serbian required just over two hours to dispatch his opponent, extending his perfect record against Norrie to six wins from six meetings.
The victory marked Djokovic’s 100th match win at the French Open, making him only the second player in tennis history to reach triple figures in a single Grand Slam tournament.
The three-time French Open winner controlled proceedings from the opening game, breaking Norrie’s serve three times in the first set alone.

Despite his commanding performance, Djokovic acknowledged room for improvement ahead of his quarter-final clash.
His next opponent will be third seed Alexander Zverev, renewing a rivalry that has produced 13 previous encounters with Djokovic holding an 8-5 advantage.
Their most recent meeting ended prematurely when Djokovic retired injured during January’s Australian Open semi-final, leaving questions about his physical condition heading into their Wednesday showdown.
Zverev represents arguably the strongest test remaining in Djokovic’s half of the draw, with the German seeking his first Grand Slam breakthrough at age 27.
