April 07, (THEWILL) — Fuji singer, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, has paid tribute to his late mother, Alhaja Adijat Kubura, who died on April 6, 2023.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on April 7, 2026, Pasuma reflected on his mother’s impact on his life and how deeply he still feels her absence. The singer was known to be exceptionally fond of his mother and often featured her in his songs.
He wrote: “It’s been three years. Three years since your voice last filled our home. Three years since your laughter warmed the darkest corners of our hearts. And yet, not a single day has passed without you crossing my mind.
“IYA MI Adijat Kubura Iyawo Anobi… your name still feels like a prayer on my lips. You were not just a mother; you were our sanctuary, our first love, and our bravest warrior.”
Pasuma also shared how much he misses her but finds comfort in cherished memories:
“Please rest well, Mum. Continue to shine in Jannah. And when the angels ask who raised me, I hope you smile and say, ‘That one is mine.’”
“Adijat Kubura Iyawo Anobi. Loved. Missed. Never forgotten. 3 years gone, but eternally in my heart.”
In September 2025, Pasuma dedicated a new home to his late mother on what would have been her birthday, saying her love continues to be a guiding light in his life.
