June 11, (THEWILL) – Ryan Gravenberch, Ajax midfielder, has arrived in Germany to finalise his transfer to Bayern Munich.
The brilliant 20-year-old has been on Bayern’s radar for some time, and the German giants are contemplating a double raid on Ajax to bring him in alongside right-back, Noussair Mazraoui, whose move has already been confirmed previously.
Gravenberch has stated that he is looking forward to moving to the Allianz Arena after an agreement was reached last month: “Bayern is a big club. I think you have to win big titles here. And that’s also what I expect.
“I’m happy to be here in Munich now.”
Gravenberch has signed a five-year contract with the record-setting Bundesliga side, committing himself to the club until 2027. Bayern is said to have paid roughly €18 million up front, with another €5 million in variables, and Ajax has kept a stake in any future sale.
After Mazraoui, he is poised to become Bayern’s second summer acquisition, with the club hoping to follow up with a deal for Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, with whom they are still in talks.
