November 07, (THEWILL) — Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has received her second Guinness World Record plaque, officially recognizing her for cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.

According to Guinness World Records, Baci prepared 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of jollof rice in Lagos in September.

This marks her second global recognition, arriving a little over a year after she earned her first Guinness title for completing a 93-hour, 11-minute cooking marathon in May 2023.

Sharing photos of her plaques on Instagram, Baci described her achievement as a story of “faith, fire, and history,” adding that the recognition celebrates Nigeria’s creativity and culinary excellence.

“Our plaques are finally here! Two records. Two plaques. One story of faith, fire, and history. Twice, God showed up for me. Twice, we made history for Nigeria…I’m a two-time world record holder, someone pinch me,” she wrote.

Baci’s jollof rice feat attracted a crowd of over 20,000 people, including food lovers, celebrities, and influencers.
