Hollywood Star Michael Madsen Passes Away At 67

July 04, (THEWILL) — Hollywood veteran actor, Michael Madsen, known for his memorable roles in Quentin Tarantino films, has passed away at the age of 67. His publicist, Liz Rodriguez, confirmed that he died on Thursday morning at his home in Malibu.

Emergency responders found Madsen unresponsive after suffering cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department pronounced him dead at the scene after receiving a 911 call.

His management team at Bohemia Entertainment and the publicist shared a heartfelt statement.

“In recent years, Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent films, including upcoming feature films “Resurrection Road” and “Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives”, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life.”

“Michael was also preparing to publish a new collection of poetry and reflections called ‘Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems”. As one of Hollywood’s most distinctive actors, he will be deeply missed”, the statement read

Madsen built an impressive career spanning four decades, with standout performances in Quentin Tarantino films including Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and the Kill Bill series. His distinctive raspy voice and powerful screen presence established him as one of cinema’s most unforgettable character actors.

Madsen is survived by his four children, including actor Christian Madsen, from his three marriages. No memorial plans have been announced at this time.
