March 20, (THEWILL) – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, winner of the March 18th governorship election in Kano State.
Yusuf was declared Governor-elect on Monday morning, by the INEC’s Returning Officer of the election, Professor Ahmad Doko Ibrahim.
He polled 1,019,602 votes to beat his closest rival, Nasir Yusuf Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 890,705 votes.
