Martins Okechukwu Justice, also known as J Martins, has made his intention known to contest for a political post in 2023.
Martins has signified interest to represent the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia constituency of Abia State in the House of Assembly in 2023.
According to him, he is venturing into politics as a response to the repeated call from his people to represent them. He took to Instagram to make his intention known, he stated.
“The situation in our country has made it increasingly important for everyone with ideas, especially those with successful careers and professionals, to embrace politics and bring on board their wealth of experience to help fix the country.
“I decided to run for political office in response to repeated requests from my lovely people of Arochukwu/Ohafia to represent them at the federal level. It will usher in a new era in Nigeria politics and while only God has the complete solution to humanity’s problem, I pledge a paradigm shift that would result in the supply of basic amenities of life that our people desire.”
He described himself as a grassroot politician, who has kept a close eye on his constituency and has been regularly involved in Abia State politics.
A few years ago, the music act was one of the raves of the moment in the music industry. He churned out hit songs that were music lover’s favourite for a couple of years.
He later went into oblivion and returned to school to acquire more knowledge. He bagged a doctorate degree from Estam University, Benin Republic in 2021.
Martins has since tried to relaunch his musical career, but the songs he released weren’t well received by music lovers.
