April 29, (THEWILL) — Janet Jackson’s 1989 album “Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814” will be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame at the 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame Gala on May 8, 2026, at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
This prestigious honour recognises 14 recordings that have “qualitative or historical significance” and are at least 25 years old.
“Rhythm Nation 1814” is known for its powerful messages and innovative sound. It produced several hits, including “Rhythm Nation” and “Miss You Much,” and remains one of Jackson’s most influential works.
The album is the only one in history to have seven top-five singles on the Billboard Hot 100, cementing its legacy in music history.
The album joins a notable 2026 class of inductees, including 2Pac’s “All Eyez On Me”, Selena’s “Amor Prohibido”, and Radiohead’s “OK Computer.”
The Grammy Hall of Fame, established in 1973, honors recordings that have had a lasting cultural impact.
