Four of the women accuse Leto of criminal sexual conduct, including allegations of sexual assault, statutory rape, grooming, and sexually explicit phone calls made when they were teenagers.

Six other women described separate encounters with the actor and musician during the same period.

The BBC said it verified parts of several accounts using photographs, text messages, and interviews with friends and family members.

The documentary also includes claims from former crew members of Leto’s band, ‘Thirty Seconds to Mars’, who said staff were uncomfortable with some of his interactions with teenage girls.

According to the BBC, Leto did not respond to its requests for comment before the documentary was released.

His statement issued on Wednesday marks his first public response to the allegations featured in the program.

Leto has previously denied similar allegations.

In 2025, nine women accused him of sexual misconduct in an ‘Air Mail’ investigation, claims his representatives also described as “categorically false.”
