August 30 (THEWILL) – Yolanda Okereke, widow of late actor, Kabiri Fubara, has marked his 48th posthumous birthday.
The costume designer took to Instagram on Wednesday, to pen a short note to her late husband, who would have clocked 48.
She thanked God for the blessing he was before his death and the blessing he is even after his demise.
“Happy heavenly birthday. Thank God for the blessing that you were and still are. Rest in power chief black,” she wrote.
Kalanne Kubara, elder sister of the deceased, also took to Instagram to pen a short but touching note in honour of her late brother’s birthday.
She posted a picture she took with Kabiri when he was alive and revealed how much she missed him. She promised to celebrate his birthday later in the day.
“My ride or die, still miss you so much my darling Kaabs. We will still celebrate your 48th birthday today,” she wrote.
Kabiri died in 2021, two years after battling a kidney tumour. After he commenced treatment, he shared his journey to recovery regularly on Instagram but unfortunately lost the battle eventually.
