May 08, (THEWILL) – Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, has suggested he could hold discussions with chairman, Daniel Levy, in the near future, as his contract with the club draws to a close.
The England captain was eager to leave Spurs last summer, although he has denied refusing to train in a bid to secure a move away. Interestingly, Bayern Munich have been open about their interest in signing Kane for over a year, while Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea have also been linked to the 29-year-old.
Currently, negotiations regarding a new contract with Kane have been suspended at the north London side. The most pressing issue is that Spurs are waiting to appoint a new permanent manager, and have spoken with Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Xabi Alonso, and Ruben Amorim about the role.
In an effort to persuade Kane to commit to the club, Spurs are open to including him in major decisions such as the pressing subject of hiring the new head coach. The hierarchy are seeking input from the wider squad to determine their thoughts on the position.
By consulting with Kane in particular, they hope to secure his satisfaction with the selection and his signature on a new deal.
