January 06, (THEWILL) – Kano State Commissioner for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Muhammad Diggol, has stepped down from his position.
The resignation was confirmed in a statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the spokesperson to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday.
According to the statement, Governor Yusuf has accepted Diggol’s resignation.
Diggol, who previously served as the pioneer Managing Director of the Kano Road Traffic Agency was appointed Commissioner for Transportation at the onset of Yusuf’s administration in 2023.
He was later reassigned to the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, where he served until his resignation.
In the statement, Yusuf expressed his appreciation for Diggol’s dedication and exemplary work ethic during his tenure in the State Executive Council.
“Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf commends Engr. Diggol for his selfless service, unwavering commitment, and contributions to the progress of Kano State. The Governor wishes him the very best in his future endeavors,” the statement read.
The resignation marks the end of Diggol’s service in Governor Yusuf’s administration, with no reasons disclosed for his decision to step down.
