May 13, (THEWILL) – Controversial American rapper, Kanye West, is trying to get back to the shoe business after Adidas cut ties with him over his anti-Semitic remarks.
The rapper has filed for the trademark of Yzy Sock shoes through his company, Mascotte Holdings Inc.
The documents for the trademark were submitted on May 4, however, details about his new venture is not known.
The singer was spotted wearing what appeared to be a sample of the sock shoe-type design in 2019, he however decided to take the products to the masses.
Adidas had announced it plan to sell off the remaining Yeezy shoes it had in stock and promised to give Ye 15% of sales while some of the money will also go to charity.
It is not sure how West will sell his sock shoes after Adidas ended its relationship with him.
Many retailers might shy away with any product associated with him because of his anti-Semitic remarks.
