February 09, (THEWILL) — Dami Marshall, daughter of Fuji music legend, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has dismissed online rumours suggesting she is romantically involved with Nigerian singer Asake.
The speculation started after Dami posted a photo with Asake at a recent event, captioning it “Mr Money and Mrs Money”, a phrase often associated with the Afrobeats star.
Many fans interpreted the caption as hinting at a romantic connection.
In response, Dami took to her Instagram page to clarify that the picture was taken during her first meeting with Asake and that there was no romantic involvement.
She urged followers not to trust gossip blogs that circulate unverified stories online.
“Guys, that was my first time meeting him [Asake], so I took a picture. Do not believe blogs, they can do anything for traffic”, she wrote.
Asake, known for keeping his personal life private, has not publicly confirmed any relationship since previously being linked to his Gambian girlfriend, Madame Mystique, in earlier years.
