August 24, (THEWILL) – Charges will not be brought against American rapper, Kanye West, in connection with the claims that he punched a fan earlier this year.
This was made known to Complex by the Los Angeles City Attorney Office. It was stated that the decision not to pursue charges had been reached following an investigation in the claims.
“After a thorough and careful review of all the evidence, our office is declining to file based on no reasonable likelihood of conviction”, the rep revealed to Complex.
The drama happened during West’s publicised relationship with Julia Fox. A man claimed he was punched when he met the rapper. But Kanye West told Jason Lee in an interview with Hollywood Unlocked that the man had been seeking an autograph at the time of the initial argument.
“I ended up getting into an altercation with the individual that wanted to make money off my autographs”, Ye had revealed.
