May 04, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress, Lizzy Anjorin, has officially accepted a long-standing boxing challenge from fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, reigniting their years-long public feud.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, May 3, Anjorin confirmed she was ready to step into the ring but added new conditions.
She stated that Ojo’s partner, Paulo Okoye, must first face her husband, Chief Lawal, in a 10-round match before she fights Ojo.
“You (Paulo) and Chief Lawal will fight 10 rounds non-stop. Then the next day, it will be me versus Iyabo Ojo. Set the fight date. If Iyabo Ojo steps out alive, call me a bastard. She will not last 2 minutes”, she wrote.
The feud between the actresses dates back several years, involving social media clashes, legal battles, and public accusations.
In 2024, Paulo Okoye initially proposed a celebrity boxing match with a ₦10 million prize. The rivalry intensified in 2025 after Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin, which was later dismissed on procedural grounds.
The announcement comes amid a growing trend of celebrity boxing in Nigeria. Recent matches, including street-pop artist Portable losing to comedian Carter Efe, have heightened public interest.
Ojo has already begun training and called on sponsors, including businessman E-Money and music executive Soso Soberekon, to fund the fight.
The actresses continue to trade jabs on social media, fueling fan anticipation for the showdown.
