August 27, (THEWILL) – Veteran Nollywood actor, Segun Arinze, has stated that there are a lot of clout chasers in the movie industry.
He made this known while granting an interview to a YouTuber, Meckson Crown, in a video that has gone viral. According to him, such people will stoop low by rubbishing other people just for their selfish gain.
He added that people will deliberately chase clouts just to gain the attention or recognition they seek and once they achieve their aim, they dump the clout.
Arinze also lamented that the introduction of social media has brought about a lot shenanigans who will just use the platforms to manoeuvre their ways to relevance or prominence while degrading some of their colleagues.
“We have a lot of clout chasers in Nollywood. Many people chase clouts. They have nothing else to do than to chase clouts.
“They cling to Nollywood just to chase clouts because they think they want to get to certain places, once they get there, they dump it and move on. So, any idiot can wake up and say any rubbish they want to say.
“Let me tell you, the advent of social media has brought in a lot of shenanigans to the Industry”, he revealed.
