August 05, (THEWILL) — Manchester United have submitted a formal offer worth €75 million plus €10 million in add-ons to RB Leipzig for striker, Benjamin Sesko, according to sources familiar with the negotiations. The English Premier League club made the bid as they look to further strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes. Leipzig are yet to respond to the proposal, which comes after weeks of informal contact between the clubs regarding the 22-year-old Slovenian forward.
Sesko has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising young strikers since joining Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg in 2023. The 6ft 5in forward scored 21 goals in all competitions last season and has recorded 39 goals and eight assists in 87 appearances for the German club. United face competition from Newcastle United, who submitted an improved bid of at least €80 million after their initial offer of €75 million plus €5 million in add-ons was rejected.
