April 03, (THEWILL) — Megan Thee Stallion has returned to the Broadway stage after a brief health scare.
The rapper, who is performing in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical”, was taken to the hospital on Tuesday, March 31, after falling ill during a show.
Doctors later said she was suffering from “extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels.” She was treated and discharged after a short stay.
Megan returned to the stage on Thursday, April 2, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York, where she plays the role of Harold Zidler.
In a message shared with fans, she described the incident as a warning sign.
“I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough,” she wrote. “It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t.”
She added that she needed “one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been,” and promised to return “stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100%.”
Megan made her Broadway debut on March 24. After her return, she performed to a sold-out crowd and received a standing ovation.
Her run in the show is expected to continue through May 17, 2026.
