April 16, (THEWILL) — On April 16, 2026, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry discussed mental health during their visit to Australia.
At a session with students at Swinburne University and the youth group, Batyr, Meghan shared her personal experience with online bullying.
She revealed that for 10 years, she faced relentless attacks and was once “the most trolled person in the entire world”.
Meghan criticised social media, saying it’s built on cruelty to get clicks, and urged students to stay strong in the face of it.
Prince Harry also opened up about his struggles following the death of his mother, Princess Diana, when he was 12. He explained how he felt “lost” and “betrayed” but eventually chose to use his platform to make a positive impact.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, the couple has focused on mental health advocacy and social issues.
Their four-day visit to Australia, which began on April 14, 2026, centres on philanthropy, mental health advocacy, and business ventures, with an aim to highlight their commitment to mental health, supporting the armed forces, and strengthening community resilience.
