March 02, (THEWILL) — The 32nd Annual Actor Awards, formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, were held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
The night belonged to Michael B. Jordan and the vampire horror film ‘Sinners’, the evening’s biggest winners.
Jordan won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for ‘Sinners’, while the film also won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, the ceremony’s top honour.
“I don’t even know where to begin, I wasn’t expecting this at all,” Jordan said in his speech. “I feel so honoured and privileged.”
Accepting the ensemble award, his co-star Delroy Lindo described the production as an “incredible journey.”
“Every single day we brought ourselves, our hearts, our souls, to this endeavour,” Lindo said.
“To be recognized by you all, ‘thank you’ does not come anywhere near to encompassing what we feel, the gratitude.”
Jordan paid tribute to his mother for her early support. “Mom, thank you for driving me back and forth to New York when we didn’t have enough money to go through the Harlem tunnel, when we were looking for gas money, parking spaces,” he said.
He also thanked director Ryan Coogler and the cast, adding: “Everybody that had something to do with this movie, you gave us your time and your talents and vulnerability and allowed me to do my best work.”
In television categories, late actress Catherine O’Hara won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for ‘The Studio’.
Her co-star Seth Rogen accepted the award on her behalf and delivered an emotional tribute.
She stated, “She really showed that you can be a genius, and be kind, and one of those things does not have to come at the expense of the other.
“Something I’ve been marvelling at over the last few weeks was her ability to be generous and kind and gracious while never minimizing her own talents, and her own ability to contribute to the work we were doing.”
‘The Studio’ also won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, while Rogen took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.
Jessie Buckley continued her strong awards-season run, winning Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for ‘Hamnet’.
Veteran actor Harrison Ford received the Life Achievement Award, recognizing a six-decade career that includes roles in ‘Star Wars’, ‘The Fugitive’, ‘Indiana Jones’, and ‘Blade Runner’.
