April 28, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actor, Samuel Jemitalo, has revealed that infidelity would reduce if women would embrace polygamy.
He was reflecting on the controversy trailing Yul Edochie’s second marriage in a post on his Instagram page.
Edochie stunned many of his followers on Wednesday, when he unveiled Judy Muoghalu as his second wife. He also unveiled the son Judy had for him.
Until his last post, the actor was known to be married to May Aligwe, with whom he had three sons and a daughter.
This development has continued to stir reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing mixed views.
Joining the fray, Jemitalo argued that such a trend would continue until women start allowing their husbands to take a second wife.
Buttressing his argument, the actor revealed that cheating among men was not rampant in the past because their wives embraced polygamy.
“Men cheating with side chics today is rampant because the modern wife wouldn’t allow her husband bring a second wife home.
“In the days of our forefathers, they converted their side chics to housewives, that is why most of them were polygamous and their was no case of cheating.
“If the modern woman permits a second wife, the cases of men cheating inside marriage will become history.
