June 07, (THEWILL) – Reality TV star, Anita Natasha Akide, also known as Tacha, has called on all Nigerians to be aware of events happening around them.
Speaking in a short video posted on social media, Akide said that every Nigerian ought to be conscious of the state of affairs in the country.
According to her, Nigerians are too complacent and indifferent to events and incidents happening around them.
“Honestly, here in Nigeria, I need to know what needs to happen that will make Nigerians uneasy because we move on easily.
“I need to know what will happen that will make people swing into action. To the best of my knowledge, everything has happened in Nigeria.
“Children are being killed every day. ASUU is on strike and students are at home. Muslims get killed in the mosque and Christians are killed in the church daily.
“Unimaginable things happen in Nigeria on a daily basis. I need to know what will happen in Nigeria that will call for action that we are tired and we need a change.
“Some of us don’t know our local government chairmen. Anytime anything happens, we blame those at the top. We don’t know the responsibilities of our local government chairmen. The people that represents us in the Senate, we don’t know them.”
Her outcry is coming as a result of the cruelsome massacre of worshippers at the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.
Many celebrities have condemned the act and they have advised Nigerians to get their Permanent Voters Card ready ahead of the general election in 2023.
