January 09, (THEWILL) — Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Allwell Ademola, was laid to rest in Lagos on Friday, as family, friends, and colleagues gathered to honour her.
Ademola passed away on December 27, 2025, after suffering a heart attack at her home. She was 49 years old.
Clips from the ceremony showed mourners struggling to hold back tears as Ademola’s coffin was lowered into the grave, with actress Liz DaSilva and actors, Saheed Balogun and Kunle Afod, among those paying their respects.
The burial followed a candlelight procession on Thursday night and a service of songs held earlier that day at LTV8 in Lagos, attended by Nollywood figures, including Wumi Toriola, Faithia Williams, and Odunlade Adekola.
Fans and colleagues have taken to social media to share their condolences, remembering Ademola’s contributions to Nollywood and celebrating her legacy as an actress, producer, and filmmaker.
