August 20, (THEWILL) — Nollywood is mourning the loss of veteran actor, Fabian Adibe, who died at the age of 82.
Adibe was best known for his iconic role in the screen adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s classic novel, “Things Fall Apart.”
His death was confirmed on Wednesday by Seun Oloketuyi, CEO of the Best of Nollywood (BON).
“Things Fall Apart” actor, Fabian Adibe, is dead. Died 2:30 am this morning”, Oloketuyi shared on Facebook.
Adibe enjoyed a prolific career, appearing in over 300 films, including Slave Warrior and White Kingdom 2 (2014)
Following the news, tributes from colleagues, fans, and industry figures have poured in, honouring Adibe as a legendary talent and a foundational figure in Nollywood.
Many have expressed their deepest condolences to his family and friends.
