December 01, (THEWILL) – Otunba Yemi Saheed Lawal and his wife, Chief Mrs. Ayotunde Lawal have been conferred with the chieftaincy titles of Abese and Erelu Abese of Egbaland.
The honor was conferred on the duo by His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, CFR, the paramount ruler of Egbaland. The traditional ruler revealed that the well-deserved title, steeped in history and significance, was once held by the late Chief Ernest Shonekan, a statesman and former Head of Nigeria’s Interim Government. He described Otunba Lawal as a shining example of excellence and an unparalleled role model.
