July 25, (THEWILL) – Nigerian football fans can expect to see Kenneth Omeruo donning the Kasımpaşa S.K. jersey once again as the Super Eagles player nears a return to the Istanbul club.
The 29-year-old defender has flown to Turkey to finalise his transfer, marking his third stint with Kasımpaşa. Omeruo’s decision comes after receiving a lucrative offer from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club, where he was offered a staggering $4 million per season in wages. However, the central defender turned down the opportunity, choosing to rejoin Kasımpaşa instead.
Omeruo’s football journey has seen him traverse different clubs and loan spells since his time at Stamford Bridge. Having previously spent two loan spells at Kasımpaşa, the Nigerian international made a significant impact during his 54 appearances, contributing with one goal and an assist across all competitions.
