December 22, (THEWILL) – It is no longer news that the Dangote Refinery has begun the export of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, popularly known as petrol to Cameroon, Ghana, Angola, and South Africa, while its diesel and jet fuel have reached global markets, including Europe, all thanks to the refinery’s international standards and its status as the world’s largest single-train refinery.
And to raise its international business standards, Angola is looking at emulating Nigeria and constructing its refinery.
For this reason, Africa’s richest man and President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote was in Luanda, the country’s capital to meet with the Angolan leader President, João Lourenço a few weeks ago.
What many may however not know is the role socialite and businesswoman, Fifi Ejindu played in making this happen.
Fifi’s connections as the president of the Angolan-Nigeria Business Council made it possible for the deals to be brokered.
Back in 2023, Fifi’s profile as a prominent businesswoman received a boost when during the Democracy Hero Awards in Abuja, she was not only honoured with the Iconic Female Entrepreneur of the Year award but was also inducted as the President of the Angola-Nigeria Business Council at the First Interactive Diplomatic/Business Forum for Angola-Nigeria.
According to the organisers, Fifi was deserving of the honour solely because of her abiding efforts to ensure a smooth trade and investment relationship between Angola and Nigeria.
The Cross River State-born, trained architect is known for her impact on Nigeria’s business world, contributing to the economic development of the nation.
