BEVERLY HILLS, April 19, (THEWILL) –Â He may be the youngest legislator in the Delta State House of Assembly representing Ndokwa East Local Government at only 40, but when it comes to his financial fluidity, Osanebi Friday Ossai is miles above his older colleagues. In his third term as a legislator representing Ndokwa East constituency, Osanebi who is a graduate of Material and Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Enugu goes by the acronyms, Mr Empowerment or Mr Money.
The reasons are now far fetched. Many entertainers have benefited from his generosity, particularly those from the Niger Delta region. Even his aides are not left out of his generosity as he is known to give out homes, cars etc to them from time to time in an exercise he termed ‘April the month of giving.’
That he throws money around like a drunken sailor would be putting it mildly. A former deputy speaker of the State House of Assembly, Osanebi who was a one time Chairman, House Committee on Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), where he allegedly cleaned out, recently unveiled his state of the arts hotel, called Westine Hotel. Located in the heart of Lekki Phase 1, the hotel exudes luxury just like his homes which are all architectural masterpieces with gold plated interior decorations. Due to his legislative duties and to also avoid prying eyes, he handed over the hotel to his younger brother, Mathias Ogochukwu to manage on his behalf.
