Unlike the average wealthy Nigerian businesswoman who craves publicity and uses any guise to show off her acquisitions, Oyindamola Lami Adeyemi abhors the spotlight and does everything within her power to shun it. She prefers to have her work speak for her.
Unfortunately, not many can put a face to some of the businesses she operates. A former banker with the defunct Equitorial Trust Bank, Oyindamola runs Still Earth Holdings, a conglomerate that is into construction, (Still Earth Construction Limited); Onshore and Offshore drilling (Tirex P&E) as well as Private Equity & Finance, (Still Earth Capital Partners Ltd). She also runs a leadership advancement initiative that champions institutional independence and competence, (The Green Renaissance).
While she has gotten accolades from her work in construction, finance and leadership advancement, in the past, it is the most recent pat she got on her back as a result of her can-do-spirit that has got people talking.
Tirex P&E which is a drilling and well intervention services company, recently announced the completion of the Ikike drilling and well intervention campaign for Total Energies, a European multinational energy and petroleum company and one of the seven super major oil companies. The project, which commenced in July 2021, is part of the Oil Mining Lease (OML99) with a total of five wells drilled and completed in record time.
Subsequently, and as a result of the confidence reposed in Oyindamola and her service of excellence, Total Energies extended the offshore drilling contract to her with two additional wells. This says much for a company that is just two years and a month old.
Unfortunately, while she thrives in the business sector, the same cannot be said of her private life. Oyindamola is currently single.
She was briefly married to football legend, Segun Odegbami but she ended things when it became obvious that getting entangled with Odegbami was an avoidable error.
