Aug 04, (THEWILL) — Popular streamer and content creator, Peller, has claimed that most of the US dollars sprayed on him during his wedding were fake.
Peller made the revelation during a TikTok livestream on Tuesday, August 4, while recounting what happened after taking the foreign currency to the bank.
According to the content creator, he initially believed he had received thousands of dollars during the celebration. However, he said bank officials later informed him that many of the notes were counterfeit.
The livestream came just days after Peller and fellow content creator, Jarvis, held their star-studded wedding on Saturday, August 1, attended by celebrities, influencers and other guests from across the entertainment industry.
Expressing his disappointment, Peller questioned why anyone would spray fake foreign currency at such an occasion.
“Most of the dollars were fake. Is it by force to spray money?”
He added that while most of the dollar notes were rejected, all the naira sprayed during the celebration was genuine.
Peller said he initially believed he had become significantly richer after seeing the bundles of dollars at the event, only to discover that most of them could not be accepted by the bank.
The revelation quickly went viral on social media, with many users sharing mixed reactions to the incident.
While some criticised those responsible for spraying counterfeit notes, others questioned whether the claims were genuine or part of an online publicity stunt.
