February 13, (THEWILL) — The family of veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has asked the Department of State Services (DSS) to arrest a TikToker who falsely claimed that the actor had died.
The family and the actor’s management had earlier denied the rumour, saying it was not true.
Leo Edochie, the actor’s eldest son, shared the update in a Facebook post on Thursday evening.
He posted a picture of the TikToker and gave his handle as @ONE_BOR 001. He also offered a cash reward for information that could help lead to the person’s arrest.
He wrote: “This young man posted a video on TikTok that our father is dead. His handle is @ONE_BOR 001. Anyone with information that will lead to his arrest will be handsomely rewarded in cash. I have contacted DSS, and they are on his trail.
“DM me with the information, as soon as he is arrested, you will get your reward in cash.”
The family and colleagues of Pete Edochie have continued to assure the public that he is alive and in good health. They described the false report as malicious and misleading.
