April 21, (THEWILL) — Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, and one half of the former music duo, P-Square, has announced a change in his birthday celebration date.
He said he will now celebrate his birthday on November 30, instead of November 18, the date he originally shared with his twin brother, Paul Okoye.
In a statement, he wrote: “Dear Family, Friends, and Fans, I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day. My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th. This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding. Thank you all.”
The announcement has sparked reactions online, with many fans seeing it as a sign of continued tension between the brothers.
Peter and Paul Okoye first split in 2017 after years of disagreements over family, management, and business issues. They reunited in November 2021 and performed together again, also releasing the song “Jaiye” in 2022.
However, the reunion did not last. Paul confirmed in August 2024 that the group had split again, saying Peter was no longer interested in continuing the partnership.
Both brothers are now focusing on their solo careers as Mr P and Rudeboy, respectively.
