SAN FRANCISCO, November 09, (THEWILL) – The Ogun state police command have arrested two young men in their twenties for gang raping a 14 year old girl (name withheld).
A statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said the “two men, Michael Hammed Azeez m’ 20 yrs and Adeola Ogunseye m’ 22yrs were arrested following a complaint lodged at Owode Egba divisional headquarters by the mother of the victim.”
A statement by the victim’s mother said “her daughter was abducted by the two suspects on the 3rd of November 2020 at about 8:30 pm and taken to an unknown place” where the duo took turns to forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
She further stated that her “daughter was later found seriously battered along school road at owode Egba in Obafemi Owode local government area of the state.”
The suspects were arrested on 4th of November 2020 by detectives from the Owode Egba Police Division in a house where the police also recovered the torn pants of the victim.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
