April 22, (THEWILL) — Nigerian singer, Qing Madi, has accused her former record label, JTon Music, of attempting to sabotage her career.
The 19-year-old made the claim on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, after her new song with KFMD and Zinoleesky, titled “Pepper Me”, was reportedly removed from Spotify shortly after its release.
She alleged that the move came after she left the label following a dispute, and that the label had earlier sued her for $1 million but lost.
She also alleged that her former label was involved in attempts to damage the career of artiste, Cynthia Morgan, and is now targeting her.
In a post on her Instagram page, she wrote, “My ex label the same people that tried to destroy Cynthia Morgan are trying to do the same to me.
“It’s paining you that I didn’t give up even after suing me for 1 million dollars and losing your case. This babe took down KFMD record from Spotify because of how well it was doing….. Just because I choose to keep quiet don’t mean I care about protecting your image. I just want to do music, that’s all”
Qing Madi said she would do everything within her power to ensure the song is restored on Spotify.
JTon Music has not responded to the allegations.
