April 21, (THEWILL)- Mustapha, son of the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has emerged the new Commissioner of Youths and Sports in Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s cabinet. Governor Yusuf is not only a godson to Kwankwaso, but he is also an inlaw to the politician. Of the entire cabinet members appointed by Yusuf, Mustapha is the youngest at 37 years old.
Yusuf however clarified that Mustapha’s appointment was not payback for emerging governor on the platform of his political godfather, but that he is among the capable youths who worked tirelessly for the success of the present administration in Kano. In addition, because Kwankwaso promoted hundreds of thousands of young men and women, many of them sons and daughters of common men and women and the governor being a beneficiary of Kwankwaso’s goodwill, it was only natural that he (the governor) reciprocate the gesture, particularly when Mustapha proved himself good. Until his appointment, Mustapha was the administrator of Key Special Academy, a private school owned by his father, located at the Gwarinpa area of the Federal Capital Territory.
