April 24, (THEWILL) – Carlo Ancelotti has announced that both Karim Benzema and Eduardo Camavinga will not be available for Real Madrid’s La Liga fixture against Girona on Tuesday.
However, the Italian expects the duo to be ready for Saturday’s match against Almeria, followed by the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna and their UEFA Champions League semi-final with Manchester City.
David Alaba, who missed the 2-0 victory against Celta Vigo on Saturday, is also anticipated to be back for the Osasuna game on May 6. Meanwhile, speaking at a press conference on Monday, Ancelotti mentioned that Ferland Mendy, who is out with a calf problem, and Dani Ceballos, who is suspended for accumulated yellow cards, will also miss Tuesday’s fixture.
Real Madrid is currently 11 points behind La Liga leaders, Barcelona with only eight games remaining in the season. Ancelotti aims to cut the deficit and reflect a true representation of how closely matched the two rivals are before the end of the 2022/2023 campaign.
