February 28, (THEWILL) – Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull Racing, has been cleared of allegations of inappropriate behaviour following an independent investigation. The investigation into complaints made by a female Red Bull employee has concluded with the grievance being dismissed.
The independent London-based lawyer submitted their confidential report to Red Bull executives earlier this week. After considering the findings, Red Bull issued a statement confirming that Horner had been cleared of any wrongdoing. While they will not comment further out of respect for privacy, Red Bull say they are confident the investigation was handled fairly, rigorously and impartially.
As the dominant force in Formula One, Red Bull insists that they will continue striving to maintain the highest workplace standards. Under Horner’s leadership since 2005, they have achieved widespread success, including seven drivers’ championships.
Nevertheless, the club stressed that all allegations are taken seriously to ensure a safe environment for all employees. The conclusion allows Horner to focus on the upcoming 2024 season. He flew to Bahrain as usual for the opening Formula One Grand Prix of the year this weekend.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf was the first to report the allegation against the 50-year-old British team boss earlier this month.
