November 10, (THEWILL) — Actress Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, of influencing her drug use and revealed that their marriage was never legally recognized.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Sunday, reacting to recent allegations from her estranged husband, Daniels admitted to using drugs but accused Nwoko of encouraging it, stating he told her it made her appear more attractive and passionate.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? ……You are the same Ned who always wanted me high because in your words I’m sexier when I’m high….Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media. Something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue.” She wrote
She went on to claim that whenever she tried to leave, Nwoko isolated her from her family by taking away her phones, locking her up and declaring her mentally unstable.
She added, “You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me, no friend, no support, and no safe place to turn to. Then when I’m completely isolated and broken, I will be forced to come back to you because I will have nowhere else to go.”
Daniels insisted she and Nwoko were never legally married.
She said, “And for the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there had ever been a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law and no documents were signed”
Despite admitting that her reputation has been damaged, the actress said she remains determined to fight back.
She vowed to take legal action against Nwoko and refused to be silenced.
