March 09, (THEWILL) — International superstar, Rihanna, was inside her Beverly Hills home when gunfire hit the property on Sunday afternoon, according to police.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of shots fired shortly after 1:15 p.m. local time (9:15 p.m. Nigerian time). Authorities later located a suspect and took her into custody.
According to law enforcement sources, a woman believed to be in her 30s stopped her white Tesla outside the home and fired about 10 shots from an AR-15-style rifle toward the property before speeding away.
Police said at least one bullet struck the mansion and penetrated a wall. No injuries were reported.
The suspect was later found several miles away in the Sherman Oaks area, where officers arrested her without incident. Her identity has not yet been released, and authorities are still investigating a possible motive.
It remains unclear whether Rihanna’s partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, or their children were present at the home at the time of the incident.
The couple share three children together, sons RZA and Riot Rose, and a daughter born in September last year.
The investigation remains ongoing.
