August 02, (THEWILL) – Joe Rodon has officially joined French club Rennes on a season-long loan with the possibility to become a permanent transfer, according to Tottenham Hotspur.
Rodon joined Spurs on the penultimate day of the extra-long 2020 summer transfer window, but he has made only 24 appearances since moving to north London.
The 24-year-old rarely looks out of place while wearing a Spurs jersey, and Antonio Conte has acknowledged that perhaps he should have used him more frequently last season. However, Rodon wanted to leave because he wanted to play more frequently especially with Wales’ World Cup campaign approaching.
Additionally, Rennes received a loan transfer on Monday, with a €20 million buy option still held by the Ligue 1 club.
