July 18, (THEWILL) – Italian Serie A side and UEFA Europa Conference League champions, Roma, have set their sights on bringing Paulo Dybala to Rome to shore up their team rebuilding.
Despite winning the Europa Conference League last year, Jose Mourinho’s plan for Roma may have reached a crossroads and the Portuguese is making moves to take the Rome-based side into their next phase with the pursuit of Dybala.
The team is gradually beginning to resemble a side assembled to compete the way Mourinho’s teams often do especially after Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pau Lopez confirmed their departures and Zeki Celik and Nemanja Matic were added to the lineup.
However, they still require a creative genius to bring everything together, and it appears they may be able to sign one of the most highly sought-after free agents with the quality of Dybala. The player is reportedly set to make an unexpected move to Roma after apparently accepting the club’s offer for him to sign a free transfer.
For now, the Argentine international has agreed to Roma’s three-year offer, which includes bonuses and a gross salary of €6 million annually, but the paperwork is still being sorted and it is subject to conditions.
