August 17, (THEWILL) – In a forthcoming interview, Cristiano Ronaldo has pledged to expose the “truth” about his future, stating that the media is “telling lies.”
Ronaldo requested that Manchester United take offers for him into consideration earlier this summer. He was then given permission to take an extended vacation for personal reasons, which caused the 37-year-old superstar to miss almost all of preseason and he has not been able to inspire a faltering squad since his comeback.
Ronaldo, who scored 24 goals in all competitions last season and still has a year left on his contract, was originally Erik ten Hag’s top priority. However, the Norwegian manager has finally decided to approve a departure for the benefit of the entire team.
Responding to a fan account on Instagram, Ronaldo said: “They know the truth when they interview in a couple weeks. The media is telling lies. I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news I made, only 5 were right. Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip.”
The summer transfer market will close in two weeks, which means that Ronaldo will try to clear the air once it is known where he will be playing football this season.
