July 27, (THEWILL) – Despite holding crucial discussions at Manchester United’s Carrington training facility on Tuesday, Cristiano Ronaldo has not altered his mind on transfers.

After talks between the parties involved, the Portugal superstar is still adamant about leaving Old Trafford this summer. The 37-year-old would want to sign with a club competing in the UEFA Champions League rather than participate in the Europa League this season.

Yet, Ronaldo’s prospective escape routes are dwindling as a result of a lack of interest just as United are reiterating their stance that their iconic player is not for sale.

Ronaldo cannot be blamed for wanting to go because he wants to play Champions League football next season and because other teams in England and Europe have outdone Old Trafford by bolstering their already-powerful squads this summer.

Yet, if no clubs are interested in signing him, it puts the player in a very tight spot. Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and Real Madrid appear unlikely to sign him, while Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have already backed off. That essentially leaves only Borussia Dortmund, who do not appear excited about the possibility.
